The aim of Distro is to uncover patterns and opportunities in customer behavior that can lead to improved engagement and retention rates.
RESULTS
I joined Directech Labs as their VP of Product where I was responsible for directing the global mobile product strategy, roadmap, performance, customer success, and product marketing efforts for Directech Lab's SAAS Customer Retention/People Intelligence Platform. After leading the product for just over a year, Directech Labs garnered interest for acquisition in Fall 2021 and was successfully acquired by DirectScale in Q1-22.

What Was Done
The Project: Validating product market fit, grow the customer base and support extention deals for a successful aquisition and exit.
Challenge 1: The initial model lacked a concrete, measurable analytics necessary to demonstrate the product's effectiveness to clients.
Challenge 2: Dispite users actively using the product, they were not reporting usage due to the associated SMS costs, as validated by focus groups.

Distro 3.0
Distro 2.0 entered the market place as an AI and machine learning-powered messaging platform, meticulously crafted to foster user retention. This revolutionary platform empowered sales representatives by delivering timely SMS/MMS messages loaded with invaluable insights, driving desired behaviors within their salesforce and customer base.
Operating in a global marketplace came with unforeseen complexities. Users from non-US/EU regions refrained from sending SMS messages to confirm activities due to high costs and relatively low incomes. Moreover, the sheer size of the global audience, coupled with selective requests from high-ranking leaders, gave rise to the misconception that the platform was underutilized. This is where I took the reigns of the product roadmap.
I first performed a series of in-depth interviews and focus groups with users which unveiled a different truth. Distro 2.0 had garnered significant popularity among its users, and the reporting challenge could be elegantly resolved by reimagining the model whcih I crafted.
Enter Distro 3.0, a game-changing iteration of the platform. This innovative application seamlessly sent SMS messages containing a clickable link that, once engaged, revealed five strategic tasks guaranteed to drive sales, all predicted by our cutting-edge AI. Every user interaction, including link clicks, was meticulously recorded, providing clients with crystal-clear, actionable insights.
This visionary transformation not only addressed both challenges head-on but also catapulted Distro into a new era of success and eventual aquisition.
Distro Insights
We built a predictive analytics dashboard which delivered actionable insights on key metrics showing where adjustments in promotions, distributor levels and products could be made.
It did this by providing the ability to manage by exception - seeing where issues stand out or improvements are occurring so that a focus on where attention is needed can be easily applied.
Clients were able to use the tool to understand how the Distro Messaging Platform was impacting retention, as well as their overall business performance.
